Corita Kent

An artist, educator, and advocate. Her work is beautiful and simple, and never apolitical. Corita Kent was born in 1918, and she practiced art and design until her death in 1986. Her work features themes of religion, social justice, and education. She was a beloved educator, who's students often cite her as both their most treasured teacher, and closest friend.
